I knew this day was coming, but I don’t think you can ever really prepare yourself for the actual goodbye. I’m sad. Like, really sad. But mixed right in with that sadness is SO much happiness, excitement, and pride.

Jayce, I’m so proud of the person you’ve become. Your intelligence is incredible, but it’s your caring heart that makes me the proudest. I can’t wait to watch you experience this next chapter—new people, new places, new experiences, and all the things that come with finally being on your own.

Leaving you today was hard, but knowing the life ahead of you makes it a little easier. You’re ready… even if your mom is absolutely NOT. 😂
