This is hands down one of the most incredible cars to ever cross the Mecum auction block. This 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray is the SAM Arrow Modified Coupe—the world’s first semi-autonomous car engineered for quadriplegic racing.

Built by Arrow Electronics, Ball Aerospace, and the U.S. Air Force Research Lab, it allowed paralyzed former IndyCar driver Sam Schmidt to back behind the wheel and top 100 MPH using nothing but:
🎥 4 Infrared cameras tracking head movements to steer
💨 Headrest sensors to accelerate
🦷 A specialized bite plate to brake

This 1965 VW Beetle has a power-to-weight ratio that lets it run with modern Corvettes and Ferraris pushing 700 HP. Ken Lemur calls it a “white-knuckled kick in the pants,” and we can see why! It just keeps pulling through the gears. 🏎️💨

This 1971 Chevrolet El Camino SS 454 just sold on Bring a Trailer for $35,250. Sold new in Wisconsin back in '71, it still features its factory-correct color, black vinyl bench interior, and a roaring dual exhaust.
