Collector cars come and go. The memories built around them last forever.

Happy Father’s Day to the dads who spent weekends in the garage, handed over the keys, shared stories at car shows, and passed down a love for the hobby we all enjoy today.

Thank you for building, restoring, and driving us forward. ❤️🏁

Imagine buying a brand-new car from a dealership, only for it to be a literal, street-legal race car.🏁🔥

That is exactly what the 1969 Chevrolet Corvette L88 was. Chevrolet actually designated it as an "off-road vehicle" and deliberately downplayed its power to keep it out of the hands of everyday drivers. While Chevy claimed it made 430 HP, it actually generated well over 560 horsepower straight from the showroom floor.

This Fathom Green L88 Convertible is one of just 116 produced in 1969. It came factory-equipped with zero creature comforts—no radio, no AC, and no power steering. It was built strictly to do one thing: dominate the racetrack.

With the right tires and a competent driver, these exact cars were running 11-second quarter miles in 1969. 🤯

This legendary piece of American motorsport history recently sold at Kruse Auctions for a staggering $351,500—and honestly, it's worth every single penny.

⤵️ Drop a comment: If you had $350K, would you park this ultimate "race car for the road" in your garage?

Would you drop $228,000 on a Trans Am? 💸

This breathtaking 1979 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am Special Edition just sold on Bring a Trailer for a massive $228K, and once you look under the hood, it’s easy to see why.

This isn't just a survivor car—it’s a ground-up, master-crafted restomod. The selling dealer poured over 13 months and 1,300+ hours of labor into this build, and it has only driven 52 miles since completion.

Here is what makes this black-and-gold icon worth every penny:
🔥 The Power: A 6.2L BluePrint Engines LS3 crate V8 delivering 530 horsepower, mated to a 4-speed automatic transmission and a Currie 9″ rear end.
🏁 The Stance: It rides on a full QA1 Level 2 adjustable coilover suspension and custom 19-inch Snowflake-style wheels wrapped around heavy-duty Wilwood disc brakes.
✨ The Style: Flawless Starlight Black paint with the iconic gold Firebird hood decal, removable T-tops, a faux shaker hood, and a custom black leather interior featuring that gorgeous classic gold engine-turned dash.
❄️ The Comfort: Modern Vintage Air climate control and a Kenwood Bluetooth receiver for the ultimate road trip experience.

Is this the ultimate modern muscle machine, or would you have spent that $228K somewhere else? Drop your thoughts in the comments! 👇

This is hands down one of the most incredible cars to ever cross the Mecum auction block. This 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray is the SAM Arrow Modified Coupe—the world’s first semi-autonomous car engineered for quadriplegic racing.

Built by Arrow Electronics, Ball Aerospace, and the U.S. Air Force Research Lab, it allowed paralyzed former IndyCar driver Sam Schmidt to back behind the wheel and top 100 MPH using nothing but:
🎥 4 Infrared cameras tracking head movements to steer
💨 Headrest sensors to accelerate
🦷 A specialized bite plate to brake

The best part? 100% of the proceeds from its sale at Mecum Indy went directly to Conquer Paralysis Now to help fund neuro-recovery programs and spinal cord research. 🇺🇸🏎️

Do the math: 300 horsepower + 1,500 pounds = absolute insanity. 🤯

This 1965 VW Beetle has a power-to-weight ratio that lets it run with modern Corvettes and Ferraris pushing 700 HP. Ken Lemur calls it a “white-knuckled kick in the pants,” and we can see why! It just keeps pulling through the gears. 🏎️💨
