📢 Rental Income Guidelines You Should Know

✅ You don't have to own a home to buy an investment property.

If you currently rent your primary residence, you may still qualify for a conventional investment property loan.

🚫 Live rent-free?

Projected rental income from the investment property generally can't be used to help you qualify.

🏚️ Recently renovated a rental?

If your property was temporarily out of service due to renovations, current guidelines may allow lenders to calculate rental income based on the time it was actually available for rent instead of assuming it was rented all year.
