Starting Nov. 13, Fannie Mae’s DU will flag more files for occupancy risk 🔍

What to know:

•Flagged files need a documented review confirming occupancy
•If primary residence can’t be confirmed, switch the file to investment property and resubmit to DU
•Freddie Mac says loans run through its automated tools (AIM and ACE) had a 2.5x lower defect rate
•Fannie QC won’t re-verify income and assets that were already validated through approved digital sources
