Every four years, Modern Woodmen members across the country elect delegates to gather for a National Convention. This representative form of government is part of what makes us unique as a fraternal financial services organization. 🗳️🤝

1883 - The first Head Camp:
📍 The first National Convention (then called Head Camp) was called to order by founder Joseph C. Root in Lyons, Iowa.
👥 21 delegates gathered to organize Modern Woodmen as a new fraternal order.

1958 - Milestone moments at the 28th Convention:
🔄 Name officially changed to “National Convention”.
🏙️ Chicago has hosted the most conventions.

2026 - Looking ahead:
🌴 The city with the second-most conventions? Orlando, which has hosted five - including this year’s gathering!

Collaboration is the secret sauce to community success.

Today, we sat down with two incredible local education leaders, Wendy House from Middle Creek High School and Corina Murray from Holly Springs High School.

The goal? A massive collaborative effort to bring BOTH high school Business Alliances together to create a stronger, more unified impact for our students in the upcoming 2026-2027 school year.

By combining forces, we are opening up incredible doors for the Holly Springs business community to:
* Support workforce development directly at the high school level.
* Expose students to real-world career opportunities right here in their own backyard.
*Mentor and shape the next generation of local leaders and professionals.

When business and education lock arms, our entire community wins. Stay tuned for how your business can get involved and make a difference this school year and in our schools.

To help with your project, you'll receive a fun package in the mail that includes a $200 bank card, T-shirts for your crew, and other items to make your project successful.

Members can apply to receive $200 in seed money to coordinate a small-scale volunteer project with family and friends. Modern Woodmen will award a limited number of grants per year on a first-come, first-served basis.
