The NDLC Executive Board gathered in Jamestown on June 3–4 for its quarterly meeting. Board members reviewed financial reports, discussed key policy and legislative priorities, and took part in a strategic planning session to help guide the future direction of NDLC. It’s not uncommon for communities to propose sales tax increases, said Matt Gardner, executive director of the North Dakota League of Cities.

Two counties and 11 cities in North Dakota are asking voters to greenlight sales tax increases this June to fund public safety, streets and parks, among other local services.
