Our Pacifica students at Kings College.

So proud of our kotiro Miss Torea speaking in our Cook Islands language.

A wonderful speech delivered by one of the students really resonated with me.

He talked about the sacrifices our parents, grandparents and those who had come before us had made.

He talked about coming to the land of opportunity, Aotearoa to pursue a better life.

So when we talk about how hard our life is now, lets use this as a reminder to reflect on how hard those that came before us had it.

They pushed through and here we are today. So lets not waste the opportunities presented to us today, knuckle down and do the hard yards!!

When it gets tough, reflect on what our ancestors went through and keep going.
