☀️ A little sunshine, a little downtime… but we’re still keeping things moving! 🌊

Dave and Shona are taking a week out of the office to recharge the batteries and enjoy a little well-deserved sunshine.

However, at MPC Direct, our clients and their cases remain a priority, even when we’re taking some time away.

We’ll still be keeping an eye on the business behind the scenes to help ensure cases continue to progress and clients are kept up to date. 🏡

🚀 Two mortgage offers. Two happy clients. Both within 24 hours of application!

It’s been a great week at MPC Direct, with two clients receiving mortgage offers within just 24 hours of submission — one from Precise Mortgages and one from Halifax. 🏡🎉

🤝 First networking event for Shona!

Today, Shona attended her first networking group with Morley Chamber of Trade & Commerce, and what a lovely experience it was!

Invited along by Claire Roberts at Rutley Clark - Unique Homes, Shona was made to feel so welcome by a fantastic group of people. It was a great opportunity to meet local businesses, make new connections and learn more about the brilliant business community around us.

There was just one little thing cutting the morning short… 🐶😂

Shona had to dash off to collect Bobby, our much-loved office dog, from the vets!

As you can see from the photo, Bobby has a little boo to show for his trip, but he’s still very much part of the MPC Direct team! ❤️🐾

Thank you to everyone at Morley Chamber of Commerce for such a warm welcome. Shona is already looking forward to coming along again and building those connections.

🐾 Bobby’s had a BIG morning at MPC Direct! 🐾

Our resident office dog, Bobby, had a trip to the vets this morning 🩺🐶

Naturally, after being such a brave boy, there was only one thing for it… a Starbucks Pup Cup! 🥳☕️🐾

Vet visit: ✅
Bravery: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Pup Cup: 🏆
Dignity after the whipped cream: questionable. 😂

Bobby is now back in the office, fully recovered and apparently expecting this level of customer service every time he comes to work. 😎

🏡 FIRST-TIME BUYERS — THIS ONE IS FOR YOU! 🏡

As parents of young adults ourselves, we’ve been really keen to find out more about the Government’s newly announced Your First Home scheme — and we know there will be lots of young people (and their parents!) asking the same question…

“Could this finally help me get onto the property ladder?” 👀

The headline figure is certainly grabbing attention — a potential 2.5% deposit for eligible first-time buyers, supported by a 20% government-backed equity loan.

The scheme is expected to apply to eligible new-build homes in England, with participating developers, and there will be household income and local property price limits. The full eligibility criteria and how the scheme will work are still to be confirmed at the October Budget. (GOV.UK⁠)
So, if you’re a first-time buyer thinking:

💭 How much would I actually need to save?
💭 Would I qualify?
💭 What sort of property could I buy?
💭 How would the government equity loan work?

Where did September disappear to 🤯🍂

🏡 Another busy month helping clients buy homes, remortgage, secure mortgage offers and make sure those mortgages are properly protected too.

🎂 We sneaked off to Dublin for Daves birthday. Between the Guinness 🍻 and a brilliant w**e tasting evening at The Liquor Cabinet 🍷, we had a fantastic few days away.

💌 Meanwhile, Carol has been busy checking in with clients, sending out new home and thank you cards, making sure nobody falls through the cracks, and helping ensure every part of the mortgage journey is looked after from start to finish, including protecting the mortgages we’ve worked so hard to secure. 🏡❤️

🎓 We also took Toby back to Newcastle for Year 2 of his Maths degree. Proud parent moment and another reminder of how quickly the years are passing. ❤️

🎭 Jude had the incredible experience of performing on stage at Halifax Victoria Theatre alongside Britain’s Got Talent winner Paul Potts.

📚 This week has also been a big one for Shona, who’s started her mortgage adviser training and is well on her way to becoming the newest mortgage adviser at MPC Direct. We’re incredibly proud of her and excited to see her begin the next chapter of her career. 🚀👏

🎉 And this weekend we’re off to London to celebrate Abi’s 23rd birthday with a surprise trip to see Cabaret at the Kit Kat Club. If she’s reading this, please act surprised! 😂

🙏 Running a family business isn’t always easy, but moments like these remind me how lucky we are to work alongside such great people, help fantastic clients and watch the business continue to grow.

Another busy week at MPC Direct ✅

This week has been all about helping clients secure the right mortgage deals before rates move:

🏡 Mortgage offers issued and secured for multiple clients, including residential, remortgage and buy-to-let cases.

📊 Carried out whole-of-market research to make sure clients weren't just getting the easiest option, but the most suitable one.

🔒 Locked in mortgage rates and reviewed product transfer options to help protect clients from future rate increases.

🏠 Worked on a variety of cases, from offset mortgage reviews and rate switches to buy-to-let portfolio finance.

❤️ Continued helping clients review their protection arrangements to make sure their homes and families remain protected.

🤝 Finished the week with more applications approved, offers issued and plenty of happy clients moving one step closer to their goals.

🌅 THE FINAL MORNING OF HOLIDAY…

Our last day of our family holiday, and what a way to start it! ❤️

A beautiful sunrise over La Zenia Beach, a quiet moment to take it all in… followed, naturally, by a pint of Guinness at Paddy’s Point! 🍺☀️

A little sunshine, a little downtime and plenty of family time — exactly what was needed before heading home.

Tomorrow it’s back to reality and back to MPC Direct from 12 noon! 🏡💼

We’ll be back doing what we love — helping our clients with straight-talking mortgage, protection and insurance advice, with no jargon, no fuss and no stress.

Holiday memories made, batteries recharged… now let’s get back to helping people make their next move. 🏠❤️

This weekend, Dave & Shona swapped mortgages, emails and busy days for wedding celebrations, sunshine and some much-needed downtime.

A beautiful wedding, great company, plenty of sunshine and the perfect excuse to slow down and enjoy ourselves. ❤️
