On 25th September, our very own Society President, Bruce Hicks, along with Foresters Helen Hicks, Alan Mackinnon, and Non-Executive Director, Ray Milne, will be taking part in the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge.

Together, the group will be covering 24 miles in under 12 hours to raise donations for Shelter, a national housing and homelessness charity that we’re supporting for our 2026/2027 Annual Charity Appeal.

We would like to wish them the best of luck as they tackle the Pen-y-Ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough peaks.

Everyone deserves a safe, secure and permanent home, yet thousands of households are living in temporary homeless accommodation, in cramped hostel rooms or B&Bs sometimes for years on end due to the lack of truly affordable housing.

For 2026/27, we’re raising vital funds for Shelter, a housing and homelessness charity that provides housing advice and helps people fight for their rights when facing homelessness.
