⛳️ Does a golf membership affect your mortgage affordability? 🤔🏡

It's a question we get asked more often than you might think!

When a lender looks at your mortgage application, they'll consider your regular monthly commitments and spending habits. That means things like gym memberships, golf club memberships, subscriptions, finance agreements and other ongoing expenses can all play a part in the affordability assessment. 📊

But don't panic! 🚫⛳️

Having a golf membership doesn't automatically mean you'll borrow less. Lenders look at the bigger picture and are often more focused on committed not discretionary expenditure.
