It’s been especially busy this week with appointments for clients looking to remortgage. I helped many of these clients buy their home and they’re now close to the end of their fixed rate deals.

Bank of England reduces interest rates to 3.75%… what does that mean for borrowers?

Borrowers on variable tracker rates will see reductions of around £15 per month per 100’000 borrowed.

Borrowers on fixed rates are unaffected.

New fixed rates (for borrowers currently in the process of remortgaging/switching): many lenders have factored in expected rate drops so we’re not expecting new fixed rates to decrease within the next few weeks.

The outlook looks positive and hopefully lenders will continue to reduce their fixed rate offering in the coming weeks and months.
