We’re pleased to welcome Andy Preece to Principle Finance.

Andy brings a wealth of experience across the commercial funding space, with senior roles including Commercial Funding Director at Armstrong Watson, Northern Sales Director at Nucleus Commercial Finance, and leadership positions with Hitachi Capital, Metro Bank SME Finance, and RDM Factors. He’s also successfully run his own business, giving him a practical, real world perspective when working with business owners.

As a dad of four and grandad of two, Andy understands the importance of balancing ambition with responsibility. His time running a business, both before and after COVID and in a different country, has shaped a broader outlook and a strong understanding of the challenges businesses face day to day.

Outside of work, Andy is a Nottingham Forest fan, a keen runner, and enjoys live music, especially anything with an 80s vibe.

He joins Principle Finance with a focus on honesty, reliability, and building long term relationships. We’re excited to have him on board.

Today is Purple Day, a global day to raise awareness of epilepsy. 💜

It’s a cause that’s incredibly close to home for us. James’ daughter, Ivy, lives with epilepsy, and like many families, it’s something that impacts everyday life in ways people don’t always see.

Purple Day is about starting conversations and reminding those living with epilepsy that they are not alone. For us, today is about Ivy, and about every family navigating similar challenges.

A great evening at the OEC Sheffield yesterday for “An Evening with Barry Bannan & Friends.” ⚽

James was kindly invited along by Ryan Holdsworth from Leonard Curtis and it was fantastic to see and meet so many Sheffield Wednesday FC legends and former players.

Even better, the night helped raise money for an incredible cause, Sheffield Children's Hospital NHS and Charity. 👏

Yesterday we headed out for lunch with Ian Hayes and Stuart Morrison from Bibby to celebrate another deal completion between Principle Finance and Bibby, and most importantly, a great outcome for the client!

Lunch at Mezwaani Restaurant on Ecclesall Road was followed by a cannoli at Nonnas Sheffield Ltd, and possibly a few more pints to round things off 🍽️🍻

This deal means the client is now in a strong position to scale their business, which is exactly what the right funding should enable.

This Christmas, Principle Finance is proud to be taking part in Ashgate Hospice’s Sponsor a Star campaign 🌟

Our sponsored star is now displayed on the hospice building, helping to brighten the winter months for patients and their families while supporting the vital care Ashgate provides.

The generosity shown across the campaign has been incredible, with a total of £17,410 raised to support patient care!
