We had a wonderful time at The Business Of The Arts Summit earlier this month! Rachel is current working with Surface Area Dance Theatre and attended the summit as a representative of their team and the incredible work they do across the sector.

What a fantastic event from Arts Professional at Conway Hall – it was so great to be in the same room as so many of our peers, for an inspiring day that produced loads of new ideas, connections and learnings!

CROWDFUNDING FOR JOSEPH POULTON

Joseph is a brilliant London-based dancer and choreographer, who came to us for strategic fundraising mentorship on a major public-facing project: Eliza: A Bloomin’ New Ballet.

We worked closely with Joseph to build a crowdfunding strategy that would raise money for his project R&D, and develop his audience for the show. Joseph smashed his target to deliver his R&D, and has since secured additional Arts Council England funding to take the show further in 2026. We are so proud to have been part of the journey from that initial R&D, to a fully-staged workshop!

Swipe through to learn more about how we supported Joseph and read the full story on our website – like here: https://www.movingartmanagement.com/work/joseph-poulton

Over the past few months, our Assistant Producer Alice has been part of CuratedPlace's Creative Producer Programme 2026, delivered in partnership with Newcastle City Council and Novum Festival

Alice and others on the programme had the chance to experience more in-depth planning, fundraising and positioning, with a strong celebration of the North East’s creative ecosystem.

Rooted in place yet globally ambitious, this programme reinforced a powerful message: work made in the North East can operate at an international standard and scale! Thanks to everyone for making the programme happen and inviting Alice – follow on Instagram for more updates!
