Today I've had 7 clients move onto new mortgage rates that I secured for them months ago.

And this is exactly why I always encourage people to get in touch early when their current mortgage deal is coming to an end.

You don't need to wait until your current fixed rate expires to start looking at your options.

By reviewing things early, we can:

✅ Look at the mortgage rates available.
✅ Secure a new rate in advance.
✅ Keep an eye on the market and switch if better rates become available.
✅ Have everything ready for when your current deal ends.

If your mortgage fixed rate is ending, preparation is key. 🙌

One of those cases that reminds me why I do what I do 🏠

After many years of marriage, my client suddenly found herself having to navigate her finances, understand her mortgage and ultimately find a new home for herself, something she’d never had to deal with on her own before.

From our very first conversation, I’ve been there to guide her through the mortgage side of things, explain everything along the way and help her get to the point where she could secure her own home.

But honestly, the biggest thing I want to say is how proud I am of her.

She has handled an incredibly big life change, taken control of her own finances and found herself a home that she can now call her own.

Mortgage approved. Keys secured. 🔑🏡

And now, the exciting part… a brand-new chapter begins.

Back in January, Nnenna came to me as a first time buyer with a goal of buying her own home 🏘

She had found the property she wanted, and I was fortunate enough to help negotiate the purchase on her behalf, successfully getting the purchase agreed. 🏡

What followed was a 7 month wait, with plenty of delays along the way due to the chain. There were definitely moments when it felt like those keys were never going to arrive!

But finally… she did it. 🔑

Not only is this Nnenna’s first home, but she has achieved it completely on her own.

No partner buying alongside her, no one else making it happen for her, just her own hard work, determination and persistence.

And that’s what makes this one particularly special.

So when Nnenna sent me these photos of herself finally standing in her new home, seeing the happiness on her face made all those months of waiting worthwhile.

This is exactly why I love what I do. Helping someone achieve something they have worked incredibly hard for, and then seeing that moment when it finally becomes real, never gets old. 🎉

I’m genuinely so pleased for you, Nnenna. You’ve waited patiently, dealt with all the delays and never gave up and now you can finally call it home. 🏡

After what felt like a very long period of school holidays, a week in Turkey and a much needed break from my laptop & work phone, I’m finally back at my desk 🙋‍♂️

I’ve been pretty quiet on social media during the school holidays, but since getting back, I’ve:

🏡 Spoken directly with all 34 of my clients currently at mortgage offer stage to get updates, check everything is progressing and help with anything they need.

📅 Booked in 8 new clients who are looking at buying their first home, moving house or have a mortgage deal coming to an end.

📧 Replied to ALL of my emails… and, most importantly, my inbox is finally back to a manageable level 😂

So, after two days of catching up, chasing solicitors/lenders, answering questions and getting everyone back on track I think I need another holiday to recover 🙄

But genuinely, it’s been great getting back into it and speaking to everyone again.

I’ll try and be a bit more active on here over the next few weeks too 👀

Application 1 of 6 submitted this week! 🏡 ✅

Up until Thursday last week, not a single client was ready to move forward... then, seemingly overnight, everyone decided it was the perfect time to buy a house! 😂

The end of last week was all about negotiating offers, liaising with estate agents, appointing solicitors and getting everything lined up. Thankfully, we got there in the end!

This week is all about getting the mortgage applications submitted 🫡

First day back at work and there was a heavy Amazon package waiting for me when I walked through the door 🧐

It turned out to be a gift from my existing clients to say thank you for helping them renew their mortgage, five years after I first helped them buy their home.

When I became self-employed, I made a promise to myself that my existing clients would always receive the same level of care and attention as my new ones. Moments like this remind me why that commitment matters.
