Up until Thursday last week, not a single client was ready to move forward... then, seemingly overnight, everyone decided it was the perfect time to buy a house! 😂

The end of last week was all about negotiating offers, liaising with estate agents, appointing solicitors and getting everything lined up. Thankfully, we got there in the end!

This week is all about getting the mortgage applications submitted 🫡

First day back at work and there was a heavy Amazon package waiting for me when I walked through the door 🧐

It turned out to be a gift from my existing clients to say thank you for helping them renew their mortgage, five years after I first helped them buy their home.

When I became self-employed, I made a promise to myself that my existing clients would always receive the same level of care and attention as my new ones. Moments like this remind me why that commitment matters.

Well... that was a fun couple of weeks celebrating my mate's 40th and my fiancée's 40th in the sun! ☀️ 🎉

One week I was in Portugal getting photos with an alien at ridiculous o'clock... 🍻👽

Less than 48 hours later, I was in Spain at the mini disco. Safe to say the two holidays had very different vibes! 😂

It was great to properly switch off – my first real break from emails since August last year (the joys of self-employment!).

The property market didn't stop though... four of my clients had offers accepted while I was away, and my inbox has been keeping me busy ever since! 🏡📩

I'm back to full capacity from next week. Have a great weekend 🏘

I’ve been a little quiet on here over the last few weeks because I’ve been busy looking after my existing clients and making sure everything was in place before I headed away.

Huge congratulations to my clients, Connor & Rebecca, on their recent move from East Yorkshire to their beautiful new-build home in West Yorkshire (I’ve always had a soft spot for West Yorkshire bricks!) 🏘

As with many new-build purchases, there were a few challenges along the way, but nothing unexpected and all part of the process. I’m delighted to have been able to guide and support them throughout, helping to keep everything moving smoothly through to completion 🏘

Seeing them outside their new home at the end of the journey is exactly why I love what I do 🎉
