🎉 Two years ago today, we took a leap of faith… and what a journey it has been! 🎉 gifts and all.

Today marks 2 years since Helen Newling-Goode and I made the decision to take that leap and join Adrian Newling-Goode at Hilltop Mortgage Solutions. 🏡

From day one, our passion has always been simple: putting our clients’ best interests first and striving to achieve the highest level of service and reviews possible. ❤️

At the end of our first year, the Edwinstowe branch welcomed the wonderful Rachel Cornell to our fabulous team — officially making us the Fab Four! 👩‍💼👩‍💼👩‍💼👩‍💼
shortly after Helen was appointment Director with Adrian.

Then, not long after that, Wootton and Rose Martin joined us, and suddenly the Fab Four became the Dream Team! ⭐

Over these past two years, we’ve gone from strength to strength. We now have a fantastic High Street presence in Edwinstowe, where we operate as the Hilltop Mansfield Team, continuing to support our local communities, estate agents and existing clients.

And the growth hasn’t stopped there…

Just 4 days ago, Helen and Adrian were handed the keys to the Hilltop head office in Shrewsbury, in a fantastic High Street location! 🔑🏢

Looking back, taking that leap of faith was without a doubt one of the best decisions we could have made.

We’ve grown, we’ve learned, we’ve laughed, we’ve faced challenges — and most importantly, we’ve built something we’re incredibly proud of. ❤️

Here’s to the next chapter and to becoming bigger, better and even stronger, while continuing to look after our amazing clients and supporting our fantastic local estate agency partners.

The Bank of England has held the Base Rate at 3.75% 📊

As expected, the Bank of England has today voted to keep the Base Rate unchanged at 3.75%.

📅 This is now the fifth consecutive meeting that the Base Rate has remained at 3.75%, highlighting the Bank’s continued cautious approach as it balances inflation with economic growth.

So, what does this mean if you have a mortgage or your current deal is coming to an end?
✅ Existing fixed-rate mortgage? Nothing changes until your deal expires.
✅ Tracker mortgage? Your monthly payment will remain the same for now.
✅ Looking to buy or remortgage? There are still plenty of competitive mortgage products available.

Although the Base Rate has remained the same, fixed mortgage rates don’t always move in line with it. Lenders also price their fixed-rate mortgages using swap rates and market expectations, which means rates can change even when the Bank Rate doesn’t.

Our advice remains the same:
If your mortgage deal is ending within the next 6 months, don’t wait. We can secure a rate today to protect you against future increases, and if rates improve before you complete, we’ll review your application and switch you to a lower rate where possible.
