Wishing you all a Happy New Year 🥳 to all my clients friends and family, as we start 2021, hope you all had a lovely Christmas break,
2020 was such a challenging year, with lenders pulling rates from the market, leaving first time buyers needing a 15% deposit, affordability and application score cards were tightened making it harder to get applications agreed. But despite this, we saw house prices rise a whopping 7% even though the housing market predicted up to a 15% drop.
With every challenge comes the opportunity to change the way we do things. I’ve successfully helped clients buy their first home, move to their larger forever home or re-mortgage to save on their monthly payments with the drop in interest rates.
We have until the 31st March for home movers to buy with no stamp duty payable and for first time buyers there is a new government scheme to borrow 20% interest free towards a new build property.
