register and www.parkrun.com is the parent webpage, from here you can see details of all 200+ runs around the world, you can turn up at any of these with your barcode and run. parkrun is completely organised by volunteers, if you run it would be good if you would also volunteer 3 times a year although running isn't compulsory for volunteers, if you are unable to run but would like to be part of parkrun to support other runners and enjoy the social side then please come along and help

We welcome runners/joggers of any standard, if you can run 5k in 15 mins then use it as part of your training, if you can do it in 45/50 mins then come along to have some exercise, get a bit fitter and socialise with us. We encourage runners to join us at the chalet cafe for coffee and a chat after the run. Preston Park parkrun would like to thank Brighton and Hove Council for their financial support in getting our run started.

Apologies for the delay in publishing results - rain and phones don't mix so some extra clicks on timers that were actually raindrops!

Much editing done to get the most accurate as possible!!

Thanks to all who braved the rain - only 373 finishers, so much quieter than normal - and special thanks to the volunteers who had to stand in the rain!

See you all next week when (weather permitting we'll be busy again as East Brighton and Hove Prom are both cancelled.

Please note if you're heading to Hove Prom tomorrow.

Hi prommers,

Just a quick notice ahead of tomorrow’s parkrun:
The toilets at the lawns cafe (King's Esplanade) are currently closed, and we’ve not yet had confirmation on whether they’ll be reopened in time for the parkrun tomorrow morning.

The nearest toilets will be at King Alfred.

Please plan ahead before travelling. We’ll update everyone if we receive any further information.

Thanks for your understanding, and we look forward to seeing you tomorrow!

Those of you who are registered for getting results text, enjoy this weeks as this is the last week you'll have a text!

(We believe the texts were provided as a sponsorship agreement that has now come to an end)

When you don't get a text next week please don't email!

You'll still get an email, will be able to see results on our web page, on the parkrun app and on line www.parkrun.org.uk/parkrunner/

We had an incident a few weeks ago when someone fell while looking at their phone (and admitted it was their own fault!) and a mail last week for a concerned runner who spotted 2 people who were using phones and not looking where they were going.

If you fall, then you have t accept the consequences but there's also the risk that you'll trip someone else.

Our parkrun is very crowded these days so we all need to be conscious of safety so please take care!

(Special care needed at the moment after about 500m where there's a hump across the path for cables going to the marquee)

See you in the morning :)
