Our mission is to keep you connected to the University through the alumni network. We’re the Alumni Relations Team at the University of Sussex. That’s us!

You know that e-newsletter that appears in your inbox once a month and the lovely Falmer magazine which pops through your letterbox? We try to keep in touch with as many Sussex alumni as possible, making sure that you still feel part of the Sussex community. We want to let you know what’s happening in and around the University and make you aware of events in Brighton, London and many other parts of the world. It’s also important to us that we know what you want to hear about and what we can do to make being a Sussex alumni rewarding, fun and stimulating. So keep an eye out for surveys and competitions and other interesting things. We also raise money to support current students who find themselves in hardship and to help improve the student experience. Anyway, that’s enough about us. Stay in touch!

Today, we celebrate a gift that will transform lives Sussex students now and forever.

We're honoured to celebrate the Rudd Family Foundation's visionary investment in the future of Sussex. Through a permanent endowment, this extraordinary gift will create opportunities, support students, advance research and help the Sussex community flourish for decades to come.

The Virginia and Andrew Rudd Scholarships will open doors for talented students who have experience of the care system, ensuring that potential is never limited by background or circumstance.

If you’re thinking about studying a Masters, join teaching and support staff online on Saturday 28 November to find out all you need to know about Masters study.

Our online open day will give you the opportunity to attend live subject sessions with the academics who teach our Masters courses, find out more about support available to postgraduate students and how to apply for your course and fund your studies.

Remember, as a Sussex alum you can receive a £3,000 fee discount if choosing to return to study a Masters!

Universal Quantum, a University of Sussex spin-out company, has secured more than $100 million in Series A funding – the largest Series A investment ever raised by a UK quantum firm and one of the largest investments in any UK university spin-out ever.🎉

Founded on pioneering research by Sussex academics Professor Winfried Hensinger and Dr Sebastian Weidt, Universal Quantum is developing a new generation of quantum computers capable of tackling challenges beyond the reach of today’s machines, with potential applications ranging from drug discovery and advanced materials to more efficient energy systems.

It will accelerate Universal Quantum’s global expansion, as well as boosting regional economic growth and the development of a Quantum Silicon Valley in the Sussex and Brighton region.
