We were delighted to attend and host a stand at this year’s show, celebrating the incredible work of young people in agriculture and the rural community.
It was great to meet so many members, families, and local businesses — sharing conversations about protecting what matters most and supporting the future of farming.

A fantastic performance and a truly well‑deserved victory on Britain’s Got Talent by our NFU members and customers 👏
Their beautiful song and powerful performance captured the hearts of the nation, shining a vital spotlight on mental health and wellbeing within the farming community.
It’s also amazing to see some familiar faces on such a big stage—especially Richard Heady, Chairman of the NFU North Bucks branch, proudly performing as part of the choir. A special moment for our local community!
This is more than just a win—it’s a historic moment for British agriculture, helping to raise awareness, start important conversations, and bring the farming community even closer together 💚🚜

🌱 Rural & Agri Careers Fair at Princes Risborough School 🌱

Last Wednesday, Bucks Federation of Young Farmers Clubs hosted a fantastic Rural and Agricultural Careers Fair, bringing together businesses and professionals from across the industry to inspire the next generation of farmers and agricultural professionals.
Industry representatives shared valuable insights into career pathways, opportunities, and the wide range of roles available within the rural and agri sector. Mark Wheeler spoke about the opportunities and career development available within our agencies, including our Apprenticeship programme.
It was a great event, with many young people attending, asking questions, and exploring their options as they begin what could be the start of professional journey. 🌾

🌾 Buckinghamshire Council Farming Showcase – Event Highlights 🌾

On Wednesday, Buckinghamshire Council proudly hosted the Farming Showcase, celebrating the strength and diversity of the farming industry across Buckinghamshire. The event highlighted how local farmers and producers can support the Council’s procurement of food grown and produced within the county — helping to back local communities and reduce food miles 🌱

🚜 Visitors enjoyed seeing agricultural machinery up close, including a combine, telehandler, and tractor with drill. Lambs from Connells Farm were a real highlight 🐑, alongside displays of hay, straw, wheat, barley and oilseed r**e.
🍽️ A delicious lunch was provided by one of our local farmers, using ingredients produced in Buckinghamshire.
👩‍🌾 NFU staff were on hand throughout the event to discuss key farming issues and the importance of supporting local producers and supply chains.
🏪 Up to 12 stalls featured food and drink producers from across Buckinghamshire, or products made using locally sourced ingredients. Many producers offered samples, while others shared insights into their businesses and why selling local is so important for the farming industry.
