fever is building, and it got me thinking about how big a part of my life soccer used to be. I started playing outdoor soccer when I was about 3 and kept going right through university before eventually switching to indoor. These days, the turf is a little harder on the body and, if I’m being practical, I really can’t afford to break anything. Occupational hazard when people are counting on you to get their mortgage approved!
I may not be playing anymore, but I still love the game and now cheer from the sidelines.
One of the unexpected perks of this career is the people I’ve met along the way. I see former Canadian National Team player as my physiotherapist, helping keep this aging body moving. She’s also co-owner of with fellow Canadian soccer superstar . They’re opening a new Mount Pleasant location soon, and if you’re looking for a great physio team, I’d absolutely recommend them.
Funny where life takes you. Soccer taught me discipline, resilience, and how to play the long game. These days, I just help people navigate a different kind of goal.
