June 1 is the beginning of National Indigenous History Month, a celebration of the rich Indigenous history, traditions and cultures across our province and country.

Our organization is committed to reconciliation and are proud to provide ongoing support to local initiatives and events that honour Indigenous cultures and traditions. We believe in the profound power of actively engaging with and learning about Indigenous history while building a strong, more unified future, not only in June but throughout the year.

Today, we honour Red Dress Day.

The Red Dress first became a symbol of Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls and 2SLGBTQIA+ Peoples through the work of Métis artist, Jaime Black. Jaime displayed red dresses in public spaces to bring awareness to the ongoing and disproportionate levels of violence Indigenous women, girls and Two-Spirit people experience.

In honour of this National Day of Awareness, all our locations have red dresses displayed as we recognize the lives of Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls and 2SLGBTQIA+ Peoples and stand with families and communities in remembrance and support.

Asian Heritage Month begins today!

As a values-based credit union, we are proud to celebrate Asian Heritage Month. In 2025, we supported community partners like the Filipino Canadian Association of Saskatchewan (FILCAS) at their Rhythm & Roots Asian Festival + Night Market.

The three-day event showcased Filipino and other Asian heritage through music, dance, food and storytelling, attracting over 15,000 attendees! We loved seeing our communities engage with and embrace Asian heritage at this event.
