Private lending gets a bad reputation but most people don't understand how it actually works.

It is not loan sharks. It is a legitimate funding option, especially for developers who need to get a project moving without the cashflow pressure of monthly repayments.

Here is how it works. The interest is capitalised, meaning it builds up over the life of the loan and gets paid as one figure at the end when you sell or when the build is complete. No monthly payments eating into your cashflow while you are in the middle of a development.

Once the project is done and you are earning rental income, you refinance into a standard 30 year term loan. Clean, structured and far more manageable than people think.

If you are a developer or looking at your first project and want to understand your options, reach out. Happy to walk you through it.

If you are going to use a mortgage broker, be completely honest with them from the start.

How many kids you have, any previous applications you have made, any debts, any knock backs. All of it. Your broker needs the full picture to find you the right solution. If you hide something it does not stay hidden. It comes out in the application and by then it can cost you the deal.

Your broker's job is to do all the shopping for you, compare the options, and find what works for your situation. But they can only do that properly when you give them the truth upfront.

Let your broker do their job. Just be honest and let them handle the rest.

9 out of 10 clients switch to us because their old accountant went silent. We answer calls, and worst case if we miss one, you hear back the next day, guaranteed.

PARENTS watch !

Thinking of putting savings in your child's bank account? Run the numbers first.

On $100,000 earning interest, your child gets a tax-free threshold of just $416. After that the ATO taxes it at 66 cents in the dollar up to $1,307, then 45% after that. You are essentially handing a huge chunk of that interest straight to the ATO.

If you have a mortgage, put it in your offset instead. You save the full 6.5% interest rate with zero tax. No debate, no threshold, no 45% slug. Just a clean saving on every dollar.

In the future you can still give your kids what you want to help them out. You do not need to park it in their name now and get taxed to death on the interest in the meantime. Your welcome.

From next year businesses can no longer pass on credit card surcharges to customers. That means if you've been charging clients a fee on top of their invoice to cover it, that stops.
We're wearing it as a business. That's the new rule and we're fine with it.
What we're not fine with is suppliers sending long emails dressed up as "we care about your payment experience" when really they just don't want to wear the fee anymore. Just say that. Your clients will respect you more for it.
Honesty in business is not that hard.

Amazing turnout, this is what happens when you back your clients and they back you. Grateful for every single person who came out. 💙

You've probably seen videos like this. Big claims, big numbers, great marketing.

Here's what they don't tell you. That $200k "saving" is often just expenses the previous accountant deliberately left out to keep you safe from an audit. It's not a saving it's a risk being transferred onto you.

We won't promote our firm this way. If your previous accountant did the right thing, we'll back them. We're not here to throw anyone under the bus to win your business.

What we will do is give you honest advice every single time —even when that's not what you want to hear.

That's the difference.

Buying a business? Don't just trust the seller's numbers. Get your accountant to check the tax returns, BAS and bank statements actually match what they're showing you, because half of what you're told can be exaggerated. We've seen deals go bad within a year from skipping this step.
