When I say purpose over profit this is exactly what I’m talking about! Watching incredible humans do incredible things!

I watched this girl in her first week have a cracker menty b in my boardroom telling me she couldn’t do this! I thought challenge accepted lady and here we are!!!!

She’s an absolute weapon and will be a demon of a broker!

She deserves everything she achieves and I couldn’t be prouder of her - and even more importantly she’s proud of herself!

Someone tell me something can’t be done - dare ya! 💪

I only saw this because I was fan girling at Anja Pannek being named in Mortgage & Finance Association of Australia (MFAA) post, thinking man I love seeing some women up there, great stuff - thought let’s have a squiz who else in the GLOBE gets a mention!

APRA Drops “New” DTI Rules – Cue the Panic?
Not really. This is just the regulator… doing its job.

The only time we should worry?
👉 When we stop putting clients’ best interests first and start broadly spruiking financial advice on social media without any consideration of individual circumstances.
Dangerous!

What’s the Real Message?
APRA wants to cool the market. Fair enough.

I suspect if unscrupulous spruiking was muzzled - it would have a significantly better outcome on slowing up poorly considered investor purchases.

Strategic, client-centric lending =
✅ Protected outcomes
✅ Sustainable portfolios
✅ Long-term relationships built on care

Do that right, and everything else falls into place.

Great brokers don’t need a policy to remind them of that.

But hey, it’s good to have industry bodies keeping the guardrails up for everyone else.

💡 Bottom line: Do the right thing by your clients, and APRA’s updates just publish how you already operate anyway!
