Our Chairman Leo popped down today to conduct a very important inspection… the sausage sizzle 🌭🔍

🌭After careful review, we’re pleased to report the onions were spot on, Mark and the BBQ crew passed with flying colours, and lunch disappeared very quickly!

Our free community sausage sizzles run on the last Thursday of the month from 12-2pm. Drop on down and see us next month on 25 June 🙌😀

Men in our local community who are disadvantaged, marginalised or at risk have been able to access a welcoming, safe space through the Wellness for Men Forum, an initiative of Monbulk Men’s Shed and Rotary Club of Monbulk & District and supported by Community Bank Monbulk & District.

Following last year’s successful forum, this year’s event was held in partnership with the Rotary Club of Emerald & District and at a larger venue in Pakenham. The Keynote speaker Craig Hamilton - Australia's leading Mental Heath advocate was also joined by other health professionals including our own local Dr Dan's Medical Clinic Principal Practitioner Dr Dan Jeyaseelan.

The forum connects participants with practical information, support pathways and professional counselling to strengthen wellbeing.

Sessions build knowledge and skills across mental health, emotional wellbeing and addiction prevention and recovery, while also promoting physical health (including falls-prevention strategies) and support for hearing loss. The forum further improves stability for participants by sharing guidance on budgeting, debt management and accessing local services.

Participants can be referred into specialised services and join workshops led by qualified professionals in mental health, addiction recovery, physical health and financial literacy. The forum also offers one-to-one counselling and guided exercise programs to improve mobility, balance and overall fitness.
