Community Bank Mooroolbark

Community Bank Mooroolbark We're part of Bendigo Bank, the better big bank. And what's more, we share our profits. Join the bank that's bigger for you.

Bank with us to get local legendary customer service, award-winning Bendigo Bank products and competitive rates. Community Bank Mooroolbark story started back in the year 2000 when a group of local people sought out banking services option for the Mooroolbark community after the closure of several other banks in the township. On 20 July 2000 local community members were briefed by Bendigo Bank in

relation to the proposal to establish Community Bank Mooroolbark. The story unfolded from this point with a Steering Committee formed, a feasibility study carried out and capitol raised by selling shares in the new venture - in the main to local Mooroolbark residents. Community Bank Mooroolbark was officially opened on the 23rd May 2002 by the late Mr Peter Brock. Around this period of time the Steering Committee then moved to become the Bank's Board of Directors now managing the governance requirements of operating a local public company. Since opening the doors for business the branch has gone from strength to strength with steady growth through each year of operation. With the original aim to provide another banking option for the local Mooroolbark residents being complete, the Board's aim moved to enhance it's own financial position and to become a major supporter to local not for profit organisations. Now the branch has been open to business for 13 years it has become financially well established and it's community contributions of approximately $1.2M are making a significant impact in the local Mooroolbark area. We hope to bring you interesting stories about our community involvement. We look forward to keeping you posted.

Today, our lovely Julie celebrates an incredible 24 years with us! 🎉

We would like to congratulate and thank Julie for all the amazing work and dedication she has given to the Community Branch and the local community customers over the years. Your commitment, care, and support have made a lasting impact on so many people.

This is also the last work anniversary Julie will celebrate with us before her well-earned retirement. While we will certainly miss you, we are so grateful for everything you have contributed throughout the years.

Well done, Julie, and thank you for being such a valued part of our team and community. ❤️

This morning, our staff member Debbie attended the "Biggest Morning Tea" held at Japara Neighbourhood House in Kilsyth. The event was held in support of the Cancer Council, raising funds
for vital cancer research and support services.
A highlight of the morning was the performance by Japara Early Years children, who sang and danced to "You Are My Sunshine", Blame it on the Boogie" and concluded with the ever-popular "Hokey Pokey",
with audience members joining in for the finale.

Last night we visited the Croydon Garden Club to talk about the ever increasing issue of scams in our society. Our staff members Tracey and Debbie outlined the various types of scams and how you can help yourself to minimise the risk.

We thank the club for their hospitality and enthusiastic engagement with this very important topic.

Today we pause to remember. 🌺

On ANZAC Day, we honour the courage, sacrifice, and enduring spirit of all who have served and continue to serve.

We were a privilege to attend the local service and witness our community come together in reflection — from wreath laying to the simple yet powerful act of placing poppies. Moments like these remind us of the importance of unity, respect, and gratitude.

Their bravery and resilience have helped shape the nation we are today.

Lest we forget. 🇦🇺
