Meet the Team: Brad 🌟
Since 2017, Brad has been an invaluable part of MCEL! Starting his journey with us through the 'Future Directors Program' in collaboration with La Trobe University, he formally joined the Board as a Director in late 2018. Brad is 100% a morning person—in fact, he and his wife religiously rise at 5 am just to secure a bit of peace and quiet to themselves! 🌅 Let’s get to know him!
🎤 Go-to karaoke song? Ocean Avenue by Yellowcard! Brad will jump at any opportunity to belt out a classic pop-punk anthem from his teenage years! 🎸
🌭 Food for life? The Zia Teresa sausages from Di Censo’s Butcher in Tunstall Square! The smoked cheese and pine nut combination in these pork sausages is absolutely to die for. Brad's family has been loyal customers of Di Censo’s for 25 years, so he might have just let a local secret slip! 🤫
📺 Last show binge-watched? A massive Western saga marathon! After bingeing Yellowstone, he moved straight onto 1883 and is now wrapping up 1923—describing it as an absolute rollercoaster of emotions! 🤠
💡 Best advice he's received? "Always lead with kindness." To Brad, this is about putting people first, but also having those necessary, challenging conversations that help people grow and develop.
❤️ Most rewarding part of the role? The vital support MCEL was able to continue providing to local community groups during COVID. In an unprecedented period, it truly proved that we are "here for good" in the Manningham community.
