🏆 Community Bank Acacia Ridge was proud to be named a finalist in the Franchisee category at the Algester Electorate Small Business Awards!

Last night, our team had a wonderful time celebrating the local business community at the awards hosted by Leeanne Enoch MP, Member for Algester.

With hundreds of nominations across heaps of diverse categories, from electricians and hairdressers to dynamic local shops, just being named a finalist was something incredibly special! While we didn’t take home the trophy this time, we are immensely grateful to our community for nominating and voting for us. It was a true honour to be recognised alongside five other outstanding franchise businesses within our electorate.

Congratulations to our fellow finalist Red Rooster Algester for winning the Franchisee category and taking home the trophy; a fantastic and well-deserved achievement! 👏

The evening was a beautiful reminder of the passion, hard work, and dedication that local business owners and teams bring to our area every single day.

🌻 St. David's Neighbourhood Centre Autumn Fest (May 16): We had a beautiful day celebrating our community! It was amazing to connect with so many locals in a friendly, supportive environment focused on friendship and empowering people.
🎨Volunteer Connect Youth Community Service Day (May 23): We grabbed our brushes to help paint bollards and uplift the Parkinson area! It was fantastic to see so much youth engagement focused on bettering the community where we all live and work.
🎶 Chrome Street Fiesta Inc (May 30): We immersed ourselves in the incredible artistic talent of Salisbury! From vibrant dance workshops to the amazing Shed Choir, we loved helping build a sense of community pride.
🦁Lions Club Of Algester Parkinson QLD Day: What a massive day of fun for everyone! We loved being part of this epic day featuring amazing food, vibrant market stalls, FREE rides, local performers, and the QLD Day Awards celebrating our community legends!
Thank you to our wonderful partners for always welcoming us to be part of the celebrations. Whether it’s music, painting, cooking, planting, or simply lending a helping hand, there are opportunities galore with these organisations. Reach out, get your hands dirty, and join in! We are so excited to share some wonderful news! Chrome Street Fiesta Inc. has been generously supported by the Community Bank Acacia Ridge, part of Bendigo Bank, for our Youth Mentoring Program, which is assisting us to involve young people in the organisation of our events. In fact, our very own Clare Apelt had a fantastic meeting with their team recently to discuss how they can get involved even more this year!

Community support in action! 💪🎨

Over the weekend, our wonderful team members Yuvika, Jordan, and Meimi took time out of their busy schedules to roll up their sleeves and volunteer with the amazing crew at Volunteer Connect

They got right into the hands-on work, painting bollards at the Youth Community Service Day to help make a for our local area.

Volunteer Connect is an incredible local not-for-profit that exists simply to give back, assist locals in need, foster friendships, and stare down social isolation. We absolutely love their approach; they don't do endless meetings; they'd rather host a BBQ to get the community together! 🌭🤝

At Community Bank Acacia Ridge, we are incredibly proud to financially support Volunteer Connect. But we also know that true support means showing up and getting involved on the ground alongside them.
