Mortgage rate headlines can make a small move feel like a major event. But what does it actually mean for a buyer in Central Massachusetts?

Let’s use a $425,000 loan as an example:

At 6%, principal and interest is about $2,548/month.
At 6.5%, it’s about $2,686/month.
At 7%, it’s about $2,828/month.

So, generally speaking, 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝟬.𝟱𝟬% 𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗮𝗱𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 $𝟭𝟰𝟬/𝗺𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵 𝗼𝗻 𝗮 𝗹𝗼𝗮𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘀𝗶𝘇𝗲.
