Don’t panic! 😊

It’s that time of year when property tax bills start arriving in mailboxes, and I know this can cause some confusion!

💡 Here’s what you need to know:

✅ If you have an escrow account with your mortgage, your mortgage servicer typically receives the tax bill as well and pays your property taxes directly from your escrow account.

✅ The bill you receive in the mail is generally for your records.

✅ You usually do not need to pay it yourself if your property taxes are included in your monthly mortgage payment.

⚠️ Quick tip: It’s always a good idea to double-check your mortgage statement or contact your servicer to confirm your taxes are scheduled to be paid. This helps avoid accidentally paying twice!
