Since 2021, WoodRiver Energy has partnered with the Kansas Association of School Boards (KASB) Energy Management Program to save participating Kansas school districts a combined $18 million on natural gas — even through four major winter storms. That's real money going back into classrooms, not utility bills.

Was thrilled to host the Kansas Association of School Business Officials Board of Directors today in Topeka! I have been a part of and supported this professional organization for years! They do amazing work for public education!

KASBO Board met today planning for the 2026-2027 KASBO year and the future of KASBO. Several topics were discussed including a possible district membership as an option to the individual membership!

"Today, I worked the election in my hometown, just as I normally do, but today was beyond special.

I had the privilege of witnessing a first-time voter and a first-time election worker, yes my son.

At just 18 years old, he registered to vote on his own before this election. Then, when our polling location was down to only two election workers, he stepped up without hesitation and volunteered at the last minute.

How many people can say they worked an election at 18 years old while also casting their very first vote?

Watching him answer the call to serve his community made this Election Day one I'll never forget. I couldn't be prouder of the young man he has become."
