The 2026–2027 school year is officially underway, and the Gravette School District kicked things off by celebrating the incredible Gravette School District staff members who care for, support, and educate our children each and every day! From kitchen staff and bus drivers to teachers, administrators, and support staff--everyone was recognized at the 7th Annual District Appreciation Event, hosted by the Gravette Chamber of Commerce and made possible through the generous support of businesses and surrounding communities.

Donations were collected from Gravette to Rogers, allowing every employee in attendance to receive a bag filled with coupons, merchandise, other goodies, and $7,225 in cash---donated by area businesses!
A special highlight of the event was the presentation of the School District’s 2026 LION Pioneer Award to Dr. Marion Harris and his wife, Connie, honoring their many years of involvement, dedication, and support of the Gravette School District. Superintendent Jeff Gravette also presented a variety of service awards and special recognitions—with plenty of humor and creativity along the way! Ozark Community Hospital topped off the celebration by serving lunch to everyone in attendance.

A special THANK YOU to our Legacy staff members who played an instrumental role in collecting prizes, decorating, and assisting the Chamber in making this special event possible:

After the parade concludes, 1,000 balls rain down in front of the bank on the crowd waiting below, with everyone hoping to catch a prize ball!

Some balls are blank, but the winning balls total over $800 in prizes! 💰
