• 10 other misdemeanor arrests

➡️ 45 total criminal charges

📝 CITATIONS ISSUED:

• 25 for driving with a suspended or revoked license
• 7 for no insurance
• 89 speeding tickets
• 2 seat belt violations
• 1 child-restraint violation
• 2 driver’s-license restriction violations
• 2 open-container violations
• 63 non-moving violations
• 61 moving violations
• 23 DUI citations

➡️ 275 total citations

This operation included the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office and several law-enforcement agencies throughout Pinellas County. It was dedicated to the memory of Mark Harris, who lost his life because of an impaired driver on May 5, 2024, in Clearwater Beach.

🚨 LAW ENFORCEMENT IMPERSONATION SCAM 🚨

We continue to hear reports of scammers impersonating MCSO deputies in an effort to scam victims out of money. This is not a new scam, but continues to be an issue. Scammers often use publicly available information like MCSO employees names and phone numbers to gain trust and convince victims to pay them to avoid an arrest. They may say you have a warrant, missed jury duty or a court summons, or have an unpaid traffic ticket and will need to pay a fine. They may even use a tactic called "Caller ID Spoofing" to make it appear the call is coming from an actual law enforcement or government number. THESE ARE SCAMS!!!

Law enforcement officers will never ask you to pay a fine to avoid being arrested or face consequences. If you get a call like this, hang up. When in doubt, call our non-emergency line at 941-747-3011 Ext. 2260 to confirm the validity of a call.
