When you’re thinking about buying a home and applying for a mortgage, credit prep doesn’t have to mean making changes. Sometimes, the smartest first step is simply knowing what’s on your report and asking questions before making a move that could affect it.

Save this for when homebuying is right around the corner, and reach out with questions so we can talk it through.

An accepted offer is just the beginning. Inspections, appraisals, financing and title work still need to fall into place before you officially close. Let’s connect to discuss what comes after that initial “yes.”

Home prices were up in more than three-quarters of the nation’s metro markets in the third quarter of 2026, with the average home price sitting at $432,900. The Northeast region (4%) led the nation in price appreciation, followed by the Midwest (3.6%). 21% of markets saw home prices decline in Q3, showing there's still plenty of opportunities out there for buyers.

Need help navigating this evolving housing market? Let’s talk.

With the economy remaining strong and inflation lingering, the Fed opted to hold interest rates during their latest meeting. Mortgage rates are expected to stay about where they are in response. When rates hold steady, it takes some pressure off your home financing decisions. Instead of trying to anticipate what could happen next, focus on your timing, budget and other factors within your control.

If you’re in the market for a new home, let’s plan your next move.

Don’t blame ghosts for every creak, thud and clunk. There’s (probably) a perfectly normal explanation for the sounds your home makes. The real trick is keeping up with seasonal maintenance to prevent small issues from spiraling into bigger ones.

Review our home maintenance guide to get your home ready for spooky season.

Feeling squeezed by groceries, gas, and monthly bills? You’re not alone—but if you own a home, there may be a reason for optimism: your home equity could give you options.

The lowest mortgage rate doesn’t always mean the best overall financial fit. A low rate is valuable, but it’s worth looking at the bigger picture if high-interest debt is stretching your budget every month.

For some homeowners, a cash-out refinance could help consolidate debt and lower their combined monthly payments. I’m currently working with a client whose proposed refinance is projected to free up over $1,000 a month. That’s breathing room!

Watch the video for a little perspective on why looking beyond the rate could be worth a conversation.

Know someone who could benefit from exploring a refinance—or someone planning to buy a home? Send them my way or message me. I’d love to help them explore their options!
