The oldest of four children, she and her family moved to the United States, settling in Brooklyn, NY. When Michelle was a teenager, they moved to Providence, RI where she attended Hope High School and became the treasurer for the Future Business Leaders of America. Coming from the inner city, the college environment studying at the University of Maryland, College Park unveiled a brand-new world of
opportunity. She went on to graduate with her Bachelor of Arts in Communications with a concentration in business and then received her Master of Science in Leadership, specializing in Strategic Innovation and Change Management from the Colorado State University, Global Campus. After college, she began her professional career as an Insurance Agent for Met Life and then became a Financial Representative for the Citizens Bank Securities Division, receiving her series 6,7, and 63 licenses. Michelle became driven by the opportunity to support and empower people through financial education and goal-driven planning. Through Michelle’s volunteer work with nonprofits, she was identified as a candidate to help people living in diverse communities achieve their dream of homeownership. As a result, she was hired by Fleet Bank to address their redlining infractions and within two years, she was recognized as the company’s number one producer in the state by using sound financial education to inspire families. Michelle earns her clients’ trust by guiding them towards making one of the biggest financial decisions of their lives. “My journey as an undocumented immigrant that leveraged real estate to break the cycle of poverty has resonated with people. I present a clear plan for my clients based on their unique circumstances along with manageable steps to obtain their goals.” Clients and real estate agents alike respond to Michelle’s dedication to providing an intimate customer service experience and her genuine investment in the success of others. With twenty-four years in the mortgage industry, Michelle made her move to join the team at Province Mortgage Associates in 2025 because of their referral-based model, core values, extensive product mix, and the professionalism that complements the kind of experience she desires for her clients. Beyond her success in the mortgage industry in January of 2021, Michelle published her personal memoir titled, “The King’s Daughter: Divinely Orchestrated” which led to an international book study tour to Liberia, West Africa, sharing her journey with the women of her birth country. She also sponsored four schools and was spotlighted on prime television and radio in Liberia due to the impact it made. In September of 2023, The Legacy Condominiums in Central Falls, RI were completed, contributing to her vision of providing quality home development in urban communities. Michelle considers her greatest wealth to be her family, embracing the important responsibility of cultivating her four children into impactful young adults that can make a difference in the world. She and her husband enjoy watching their children compete and grow through athletics, and their nights together as a family are always filled with laughter.
