Forrit Credit Union

Forrit Credit Union In this world that’s all too often obsessed with the big, we’d like to make a case for small. That’s us. We’re Forrit Credit Union. And we’re proudly small.

Forrit Credit Union was created in 1936 as Portland Federal Employee's Credit Union. 45 founding members came together with the credit union philosophy of ‘people helping people' to form a financial cooperative that could help provide them with personalized banking solutions. The resulting credit union's mission — Forward Together. Each Member. Each Moment.— we view every moment as an opportunity

to grow, and we won’t stop making tomorrow a better place for our members. Today, Forrit Credit Union continues to serve our members with a full spectrum of financial services. We provide our members with anytime-anywhere online and mobile banking, personal one-on-one service, 24-hour phone access, plus access to thousands of ATMs and shared branches. When you become a member of Forrit, you're joining a member-driven, proudly-Portland, and 100% cooperative credit union in the Pacific Northwest. Being Forrit means we dive right in and get to work on enhancing the financial well-being of our members. We’re not only here to help our members arrive at their desired goals, but to do it with excitement!

Congratulations to our Q2 Heart Award winners! 🥳

🤝 Marissa is our Assistant Branch Lead at Rockwood and has been with Forrit for over 3 years. She received her Heart Award under the category of Collaboration. What started as a simple question from our Learning and Development Specialist, Mariah, turned into a moment of education that will help us create resources to best support staff across the credit union.

🎉 Callie is our Branch Lead at Rockwood and has been with Forrit for nearly 14 years. She received her Heart Award under the category of Celebrating Individuals. Callie was nominated for this award after she stepped in to resolve an issue and committed to seeing it through. Callie consistently goes above and beyond to help our team and members succeed.

💜 Sandra is our Community Engagement Coordinator and has been with Forrit for over a year. She received her Heart Award under the category of Heart. Sandra was nominated for this award due to her attendance at the NLCUP conference, where she volunteered her time to support attendees. Her contributions were recognized by the NLCUP President, who highlighted the positive impact she had on the event’s success.

💡 Lou is our Member Relationship Specialist and has been with Forrit for over a year. Lou received a Heart Award under the category of Curious and Flexible. Lou saw a need for more information and better resources for our lenders. She took it upon herself to put on a training last year, as well as take on a lengthy project to ensure our lenders have what they need to make the vehicle purchasing process more efficient.

💫 Yuki is our Marketing Manager and has been with Forrit for over 8 years. Yuki received her Heart Award in the category of Tending to the Small Stuff. Yuki was nominated for this award for going above and beyond when she stepped in to attend the Schools Out for Summer event due to unavailable media coverage.

Please join us in congratulating Marissa, Callie, Lou, Sandra, and Yuki for going above and beyond to help our team and members succeed! 🤩🎉

Baked goods and getting to connect with the community? Oh, we are so there! 🎂🥳

Last Friday, our friends at the Adelante Mujeres Community Market put on a bake sale that celebrated the wonderful local bakers in our community. Shout out to the delicious Heavenly Sweets Rolls and Mrs. Nichols Cookies for providing such delicious treats at the market! 🍪🍬

We’re proud to support the Adelante Mujeres Market, which is a key project of the organization’s Market Access Program. The market is driven by their mission to nurture community and celebrate culture by strengthening direct access to fresh, culturally relevant foods. 🍓🥬

This inclusive community space serves as an incubator market for beginning Latine farmers, food businesses, and artisan makers. It helps support entrepreneurs from the Regenerative Agriculture and Empresas Small Business Development programs. 🤩✨
