YCUP PDX

YCUP PDX Young Credit Union Professionals (YCUP PDX) encourages and empowers the voices of young professionals within the credit union movement.

YCUP was founded by young credit union professionals way back in 2008 at the Credit Union Association of Oregon's (now Northwest Credit Union Association) Annual Meeting. This passionate and dedicated crew believes that the credit union movement is deserving of youthful innovation and impact. We are the future, and the future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.

We're excited to extend to you a special invitation to an inspiring event that promises to be both enlightening and empowering—our YCUP PDX Women of Impact on May 19th, 2026, at The Evergreen, from 5:30 pm to 8:00 pm.

Women of Impact is proudly presented in partnership with Portland/Vancouver GWLN Sister Society, highlighting our shared commitment to advancing and amplifying women leaders in our industry.

This unique gathering will bring together four remarkable local women industry leaders who will share their professional journeys, challenges, and triumphs. It is a rare opportunity to gain insights from the experiences of these trailblazers and to understand the paths they have carved in their respective fields.

Our Panelists:

• Erin Moore, VP of Government Relations at OnPoint Community Credit Union
• Heather Friend, Chief Operating Officer at Columbia Credit Union
• Neah LaFuente, AVP of Internal Communications and Community Engagement at Rivermark Community Credit Union
• Megan Snyder, SVP - Chief Impact Officer at Unitus Community Credit Union

The evening will not only consist of panel discussions but will also provide a chance for you to engage directly with these leaders. Attendees will be encouraged to ask questions and seek advice, making this an invaluable opportunity for anyone looking to learn from the best and be inspired.

In alignment with the event's mission to uplift and support women, we will also be fundraising for A Village for One, a nonprofit working to restore safety, health and hope for youth impacted by commercial sexual exploitation through healing-centered programs and community advocacy.

Whether you are just starting your career, looking to make a change, or simply interested in hearing the stories of successful women leaders, this event promises to offer something for everyone. Refreshments will be provided, and there will also be time to network with other attendees and speakers.

We can't wait to see you there! 🤩

We’d like to recognize two YCUP board members who will not be returning in 2026.

Elyana Yurkiewicz served as a board member in 2025 and brought great insights, ideas, and vision in her service.

Reegan Peterson served as Director of DEI & Social Impact and was the driving force behind our event “Saying the Quiet Part Out Loud.” We are cheering Reegan on in her next chapter outside the credit union industry!

We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to both of you for your incredible dedication and enthusiasm at our events! Your contributions have truly made a difference, and you will be missed. We wish you both immense success and happiness in all your future adventures. Keep shining! ✨

Congratulations to Kristine Clark of Point West Credit Union and welcome to the YCUP PDX Board of Directors!🎉

Kristine Clark is a proud native of the Pacific Northwest, deeply captivated by her lush, vibrant home, even after exploring cities around the globe. Her passion for adventure and teaching informs her imaginative approach to the credit union movement, enabling her to make a significant impact.

Kristine’s journey in the credit union industry began unexpectedly in 2021. What started as a teller position quickly evolved into a rewarding career as she embraced diverse retail and leadership roles. Each experience enhanced her understanding of member service, leadership, and community impact, all core principles of the credit union ethos.

Now, as the enthusiastic Branch Manager at Point West Credit Union, she ardently advocates for the “people helping people” mission. Kristine is committed to helping members navigate their financial needs, actively supporting the Portland community, and inspiring her teammates to achieve their full potential. In her free time, you can find Kristine exploring the great outdoors, enjoying coffee from local shops, getting lost in books in cozy corners, or passionately writing with the aspiration of publishing her own work one day. With her vibrant spirit and steadfast dedication, Kristine truly exemplifies a force for good!

Congratulations to Francesca Centazzo of Unitus Community Credit Union and welcome to the YCUP PDX Board of Directors! Francesca is joining the board as the Director of Events🎉

Francesca was born and raised in Italy and eventually moved to Portland in 2012 to attend the University of Portland, where she got a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science in 2016. During this time, Francesca fell in love with Portland and decided this would be her forever home.

Francesca began her credit union career at Point West Credit Union as a teller, then as a loan officer, and is now a mortgage loan officer at Unitus CCU. Working for Point West opened her eyes to the reality that financial access is unequal and that many communities remain severely underserved. Francesca’s knowledge of Spanish and of the ITIN lending products offered by both Point West and Unitus has allowed her to do her small part in bridging this access gap.

In her free time, Francesca loves knitting, quilting, and sewing. In the winter, she likes to take advantage of Portland’s proximity to the mountain and go snowboarding. She is also constantly on the search for a good Italian restaurant in Portland (so far, the search has been somewhat fruitless, but she is not ready to give up yet!).

After an incredible three years, Charles Torres' term on the YCUP PDX Board of Directors has come to an end. Charles has been an invaluable member of the board during his tenure, and we are sad to see him go but are thrilled for him to stay on as an Advisory Board Member for 2026. 🥳

Charles' impact cannot be fully quantified, but we'll try. Here are some highlights:

• Charles served as Director of Sponsorship for two years, building relationships with our sponsor partners and ensuring YCUP PDX had the funding it needed to successfully put on events for our members.

• In his final year on the board, Charles also served as Treasurer, making several process improvements setting us up for long-term success.

• Charles identified and implemented our new donor platform GiveButter, which allowed YCUP PDX to raise $7,000 for local nonprofit partners in 2025.

• As the only "third year" on the board in 2025,Charles has served as a trusted mentor and guide for all other board members and will continue to do so in his advisory role.

Thank you, Charles. We wouldn't be where we are today without you! ✨
