Our Chapter is looking for passionate, dedicated volunteers ready to step up and help us ensure No Kid Sleeps on the Floor in Our Town!
We are currently in need of:
🚚 Delivery Team– A group who goes out once a month to deliver our built beds directly to children in need. You will build relationships with our Application manager and team to come to coordinate bed requests and prioritize deliveries. This team ensures a positive experience for families receiving beds.
Have a truck, van, or large SUV? We need your help. This team currently requires 1-2 hours per week and 5-6 hours once a month for delivery day.
🛏️ Bedding Manager- Coordinate bedding drives and donations. Collects and receives bedding donations. Takes count and records it in our inventory, emails info to our SHP donation dept, communicates with Social Media Manager, Amanda, for pictures and marketing of donations. Updates Wishlists for bedding based on need and communicates with our Core Team. If you have a passion for helping others, enjoy managing projects, and the joy of creating bed sets for kids locally, we encourage you to reach out to meet up for coffee.
This volunteer position requires 1-2 hours a week, not counting meetings and events.
🪚🧰🔩 Assistant Build Manager- This role is crucial in assisting the organization and ex*****on of our bed- building events. You would communicate straight to our Build Manager, Marty, on a consistent basis. You will help with developing a pre-cut and build schedule, securing build locations, and coordinate logistics and volunteer count with our Volunteer Coordinator, Hope. You will assist our Build Manager and Chapter President with managing tools and materials with inventory. By sharing your organizational skills and time, you will create a positive impact to our build experience. It is about a 10-20 hours per month dedicated to our build experience and being apart of our Core Team.
📋 Assistant Application Manager- You will play a pivotal daytime role in coordinating bed requests and ensuring timely communication with our applicants, Application Manager, Connie. You will assist with collaborating with the Delivery Team to evaluate incoming requests. Maintaining open and effective communication with our Core Team and applicants. This volunteer position is about 2 hours per week, not counting meetings or events.
