Well, this one won't win “most cheerful post of the week”... But it's an important question!

What if something had happened to you yesterday?

Today, your family still wakes up to the mortgage or rent, food, childcare or education, bills, and everyday living expenses.

Your income may stop, but their needs don't. If someone depends on you financially, life insurance is a conversation worth having.

You insure your car. You insure your home. Don't forget to insure yourself!

Changed jobs? Don't forget what you left behind.

Old 401(k)s have a way of piling up:
One from your first job. Another from the job after that. Maybe one you haven't looked at in years. Eventually the question becomes:

“What am I supposed to do with these?”

You have options: Leaving the account where it is, moving it to a new employer plan, rolling it into an IRA, or considering other available choices. Before deciding, start with a few simple questions:

Where is my money and how is it invested?
What are my options for this account?
Which option makes the most sense for me?

You don't have to figure that out alone! Sometimes a conversation with the right person can help you understand your options before making a decision.

You worked for that money! Don't let changing jobs mean forgetting about it.

Health risks don’t end at retirement. Thoughtful planning can help you be better prepared for challenges such as rising healthcare costs or long-term care needs.

Many individuals may spend years managing health conditions later in life, making these considerations an important part of long-term financial security.

Let’s talk about how planning ahead can help you feel more confident about your future.

If something happened to you tomorrow, would your family know what to do?

Not the most fun question, but an important one!
Could they answer these 5 things?

WHO DO I CALL?
Advisor, attorney, CPA, insurance company, employer.

WHERE IS EVERYTHING?
Accounts, insurance policies, estate documents and other important information.

HOW DO I ACCESS WHAT I NEED?
Passwords and important digital information stored somewhere secure.

ARE THE RIGHT PEOPLE LISTED?
Beneficiaries and estate/trust documents should reflect your current wishes.

WHAT HAPPENS FINANCIALLY?
What income continues? What stops? What bills are automatic? Where does money come from?

You don't need to leave your family a perfect financial plan. But leaving them a roadmap can make an incredibly difficult time a little less confusing.

Sometimes planning isn't all about what happens to your money. It's about who has to pick up the pieces when you're not there. Maybe the best financial document you create this year is a roadmap for your family.

When I ask people, “Who helps you with your finances?”
I often hear, “Oh, I’m not wealthy enough to have a Financial Advisor.”

I usually laugh and say: “Well good news. There’s no velvet rope here!” 😄

You don’t need millions of dollars to have financial questions.

*Maybe you’re just getting started.
*Maybe you have old retirement accounts, insurance, or investments you don’t fully understand.
*Maybe you simply want to know if you’re on the right track.

That’s what the conversation is for!

You don’t need to have everything figured out before talking to an Advisor. Sometimes talking to one is how you start figuring it out.
