One of the biggest misconceptions I see among successful practice owners is assuming that growing revenue automatically means the business is getting stronger.
It doesn’t.
You can generate more revenue and still have shrinking margins. You can have money coming in and still feel constant cash-flow pressure. You can have your best year ever and still wonder where the money went.
Revenue tells me one part of the story.
I want to know what you’re keeping, where it’s going, what your team costs relative to production, whether your pricing still makes sense, how much cash the business is actually generating, and whether the numbers support where you want to go next.
That’s why financial strategy has to go deeper than the top line.
Your numbers should help you make decisions—not just tell you what happened last month.
When was the last time you looked beyond your revenue?
