Starting a business tiene mucho mérito, especially in New York!

That was the message that Qualitas Executive Director, Jon Greenfield, brought to the entrepreneurship workshop hosted by the Consulado General de México en Nueva York. Jon's visit to our longtime partners provided the opportunity for a wide-ranging conversation with Consul General Marcos A. Bucio Mújica and his dedicated team. The visit also gave us the chance to promote our upcoming Financial Access Fair on October 17th. ¡No te la pierdas!

¿Quieres ayudar? Aún hay maneras de hacerlo, solo asegúrate de que tu ayuda llegue a donde realmente se necesita. 👀

Tras el terremoto en Colombia, nuestra comunidad se ha movilizado para apoyar a las familias afectadas. Pero en una emergencia, las necesidades cambian rápidamente, y también los centros de acopio y las formas de ayudar.

Si quieres aportar desde Nueva York:
- Verifica antes de donar. Apoya únicamente a organizaciones reconocidas y utiliza sus canales oficiales. Evita enviar dinero a cuentas personales o enlaces que no puedas verificar. ✅

- Confirma antes de llevar donaciones. Algunos centros de acopio habilitados inicialmente en Nueva York ya concluyeron sus jornadas de recolección. Antes de acudir a uno, confirma directamente que siga activo y qué artículos necesita. 🫱🏼‍🫲🏽

- Consulta fuentes oficiales. Sigue las actualizaciones del Consulado de Colombia Consulado de Colombia en Nueva York en Nueva York para conocer nuevas iniciativas y formas de apoyo. 📍

- También puedes apoyar directamente a organizaciones humanitarias. La Cruz Roja Colombiana Cruz Roja Colombiana continúa respondiendo a la emergencia y cuenta con un canal oficial para recibir donaciones. 🇨🇴

Y recuerda: compartir información actualizada y verificada también es una forma de ayudar. 📲

The best investment his family ever made wasn’t money, it was teaching him how to manage it.

Meet Alfonso, who grew up in Mexico City believing that financial education could open doors and change lives.

Today, he’s putting that belief into action by running the TCS New York City Marathon with Team Qualitas.

Every donation helps more Hispanic families gain access to free financial education, entrepreneurship programs, and the confidence to build a stronger future.
