Last week, the Infinity team had the pleasure of volunteering at Schlitz Audubon Nature Center. Our day began with Restoration Ecologists Colin and Fie, who guided us through their 185 acres of forest, sharing the land's history and setting the stage for our mission. At our work site, we focused on cutting and treating the invasive buckthorn species, which outcompetes native plants and releases harmful chemicals into the environment. Colin and Fie taught us how to identify common and glossy buckthorn, and we spent the next few hours eliminating these plants, significantly contributing to Schlitz’s conservation efforts.
We are thrilled to have had the opportunity to support one of our nonprofit partners. These experiences deeply impact our team, providing us with firsthand knowledge and aligning us more closely with their mission. This allows us to better serve their organization and help them achieve their goals.
