Our Mt. Pleasant team had two stops and one shared goal: helping make a difference for local families.
At Sleepy Dog Books Foundation , we put together story guide cards that help families and educators actively read with learners. M1 team members at The Care Store assembled hygiene kits for families in need.

A little coffee, a little fall weather, and a whole lot of good company!☕️🍂 We loved spending time with everyone at Crave Coffeehouse in Gladwin and sharing a cup of joy with our community. When families need a safe place to turn, having a warm, secure shelter can make all the difference. That’s why M1 is proud to invest $18,750 in Gladwin New Dawn Shelter's Powering Hope campaign, helping strengthen the shelter’s ability to care for families across rural Michigan.

Through the Federal Home Loan Bank of Indianapolis’ Community Multiplier – Member Match program, our contribution helped unlock additional funding for critical upgrades, including a backup generator. These improvements will help New Dawn Shelter continue providing a safe, reliable refuge when severe weather and power outages threaten the well-being of those who depend on them.

We’re grateful to partner with New Dawn Shelter and FHLBank Indianapolis to help build a stronger, more resilient community where people can count on one another when it matters most.

Our M1 team spent the day in Saginaw helping to create a healthier community.

At Hidden Harvest, we repacked bulk flour into family-sized portions that are easier to distribute to local families. We got our hands dirty at Saginaw River Headwaters Recreation Area, planting trees and shrubs with the Saginaw Basin Land Conservancy.

Different kinds of work, one shared purpose: showing up for our community. 🌱

Our M1 team loved visiting Blooming Chefs at Bay-Arenac ISD for CU Lunch Local. We got a firsthand look at how students bring their Culinary Arts & Hospitality Management skills to life, from welcoming guests to working behind the scenes in the kitchen.

Blooming Chefs is a great example of what can happen when students get the opportunity to learn by doing. We left inspired by the program and all the possibilities ahead for these future professionals.

A strong start begins with a place to call home. 💙

Members First Credit Union is proud to award $18,750 to AYA Youth Collective through the Federal Home Loan Bank of Indianapolis’ Community Multiplier – Member Match program, helping young adults in Grand Rapids find and maintain safe, stable housing.

Because having a place to call home is about more than four walls. It’s about having the support, resources, and confidence to build what comes next. This investment will help 39 young adults access services that support their journey beyond crisis and toward a future filled with opportunity.

We’re grateful to partner with AYA Youth Collective and FHLBank Indianapolis to put people helping people into action.
