🚨Stay alert. Stay safe. Protect your information.
A recent credit union scam involved fraudsters posing as credit union employees, even claiming to be from the Fraud Department. They contacted members by phone and tried to get sensitive information such as:
🔐 Online banking usernames and passwords
💳 Debit card numbers and information
💰 Account information or one-time codes
📲 Instructions to move money through another payment service
In some cases, the scammers even called the credit union pretending to be the member.
This campaign generated hundreds of calls and nearly 100 member reports in just a short period of time. Some members received multiple calls from different numbers throughout the day.
🛑 Remember: We will NEVER ask you to give us your password, PIN, or full debit card information over the phone.
If you receive a call that seems suspicious, hang up and contact Telco Plus directly using a trusted phone number — not a number provided by the caller.
When it comes to protecting your money, it's always okay to stop, question the call, and verify. ❤️
