Here's a friendly reminder from Carr Capital to get out and vote! Early voting started this week in Texas and will continue until November 1st. Gregg County residents can vote at the Longview Community Center, which happens to be right by our office. Get your vote in, then feel free to swing by and chat with us for a minute! 😄

So far in 2024, Carr Capital has had the privilege to host two more workshops on "The Changing World of Retirement Planning". These workshops aim to educate East Texas residents at or near retirement age. We have partnered as instructors with SOFA, the Society for Financial Awareness, who has the goal to end financial illiteracy across America. The course was free to attend and offered our attendees quality education on very relevant financial planning topics. UT Tyler and UT Tyler Longview Center opened their doors and allowed us to use their top-tier facilities to host this two-night seminar for our attendees. This course focuses specifically on retirement in the 21st century; looking at the risks associated with changing tax rates, protecting oneself against market loss, long-term care planning, and much more. We’d like to thank SOFA for their partnership with us, UT Tyler and UT Tyler Longview Center for the use of their facilities, and of course all our attendees for coming. We thoroughly enjoyed teaching this material once again to those looking for information and guidance in planning for retirement and are looking forward to helping many more East Texas residents in the future.
