With more than 10 years in the mortgage and banking industry, John Nustad is a seasoned professional, specializing in mortgage lending, commercial lending, and wealth management. As a Loan Officer with EPIC Mortgage, John provides invaluable insights to consumers and partners on finance, the evolving economy, and its impact on business and personal life. A native of East Texas, John graduated from
Gilmer High School and Kilgore College before earning his Bachelor of Science in Business Management from the University of Texas at Arlington. He also serves on the Kilgore College Foundation Board and as Chair of the Executive Leadership Team for Longview's Walk to End Alzheimer's. John is an active member of the Longview Area Association of Realtors, Longview Chamber of Commerce, Greggton Rotary, and the First United Methodist Church of Longview. His previous roles include serving as President of the Boys and Girls Clubs of the Big Pines, on the City of Longview's Senior Advisory Council, and with the Longview Housing Authority. Recognized for his contributions, John was a finalist for ETX View’s Forty Under 40 for Banking & Lending in 2022 and was named Affiliate of the Year by the Longview Area Association of Realtors in 2019. He is also a graduate of the Longview Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership Longview program. Beyond his professional life, John founded the Longview Book Club, which has hosted esteemed authors such as Matthew McConaughey, Joe Lansdale, and May Cobb. He and his wife, Katy, are proud parents of two children and share their home with two rescue dogs.
