Ahhh 8 YEARS IN A ROW!!

So incredibly grateful to be named a D Magazine Top Insurance Agent.!

I’ve been in this industry for a long time, and I truly love what I do. But what makes this one so special is knowing that it comes from the people who continue to trust me, support me, send me referrals, and choose me year after year.

I definitely don’t take any of it for granted.

Thank you to every client, friend, realtor, lender, referral partner and everyone who continues to support my little insurance world. 🤍

Okayyyy one more reel because this night was just too good.

Such a fun night seeing so many familiar faces, making new connections and getting to represent Kristian Schwitzer Insurance.

Such a fun night!!

So excited I got to be the exclusive insurance sponsor for D Magazine’s Top Real Estate Producers event! So many amazing people in one room and SO much fun getting to celebrate everyone! ❤️

This is a BIG deal for Texas homeowners. 👏

If you own a home in Texas, you already know how crazy insurance rates have gotten. Governor Abbott is now directing the Texas Department of Insurance to take action to help make property insurance more affordable.

A few things that really stood out to me:

🏠 Insurers could be required to factor a FORTIFIED roof into pricing, potentially rewarding homeowners who invest in stronger roofs.

🚫 Companies could no longer refuse to write or renew a home simply because of the age of the home or individual components like the roof.

💰 TDI is being directed to address “price optimization,” where personal data unrelated to the actual insurance risk is used in pricing.

🔎 There will also be a bigger focus on insurance fraud and inflated claims costs—which ultimately impact what all of us pay.

And the statistic that blew my mind: Texas homeowners insurance premiums have increased an average of 79% in just SIX YEARS. 😳

As an insurance agent, I see the impact of these rates every single day. I’m all for changes that create a healthier insurance market while still allowing carriers to properly price for risk.

Important to remember: these are proposed/directed actions—not overnight changes to your current policy or premium. TDI has been asked to identify additional actions and recommendations by September 14.

I’ll definitely be watching this closely and keeping my clients updated as we learn more!
