Mortgage bonds are starting the day slightly weaker following yesterday's impressive recovery.

The 10-year Treasury was near 5.25% in this morning's published market snapshot, with mortgage-backed securities showing modest weakness.

One factor worth watching: the three-day holiday weekend. Some bond investors may take profits rather than add positions ahead of the break.
