Late Saturday night mom took a header into the door hinge in her room. One ambulance ride, and CT scan and six staples later, she's recovering at home.

On Sunday, Rosalyn Carter's quote (attached) really spoke to me. I never expected to be 50 and having my mom live with us and I'm pretty sure Jonathan didn't either when he signed up! 😀

It's rewarding, it's frustrating and at times overwhelming for us. Ultimately though, I know that we are where we are supposed to be and the moments of joy like mom had celebrating my 50th as we read cards together after everyone had gone home make it all worthwhile.
