Join Us in Celebrating One of This Month’s Impact Makers! 💚

This month, we’re proud to recognize Teri Dieterle, Contact Center Specialist 1, for her exceptional service and ability to turn a single conversation into a meaningful financial relationship.

When a member called to discuss auto rates after becoming frustrated with his current financial institution, Teri took the time to listen and understand what he was looking for. What started as a conversation about auto rates turned into an opportunity for Teri to help the member refinance his vehicle and save money.

But Teri didn't stop there. Through her conversation with the member, she uncovered additional ways Day Air could meet his financial needs. He went on to open a checking account, get a credit card, and request a Direct Deposit form - making Day Air his preferred financial institution!

Teri's ability to listen, identify opportunities, and provide solutions that truly benefit our members is a perfect example of what a better banking experience looks like. Thank you, Teri, for making a meaningful difference, helping a member save money, and turning one conversation into a lasting relationship with Day Air! 💙💚

We’re so excited to see our own Daniel Koons, Wilmington Pike Financial Center Manager, take the dance floor for a great cause! 💃🕺

Daniel will be participating in the 2026 Dancing with the Kettering Stars in support of the Kettering Police Foundation. While he may say he has “two left feet,” we know he’ll bring plenty of heart, energy and Day Air spirit to the dance floor! 💙💚

Daniel is passionate about serving the Kettering community, and we’re proud to cheer him on as he steps outside his comfort zone to support an organization that does so much for our community.

2026 Dancing with the Kettering Stars: Meet Daniel Koons!

He may admit to having two left feet and no rhythm, but Daniel Koons is ready to put that theory to the test on the dance floor!

Daniel is the Corporate Office Financial Center Manager for Day Air Credit Union, where he has spent more than 15 years helping individuals and businesses throughout Kettering and the surrounding communities with their financial needs. He holds an associate degree in Business Management from Sinclair Community College and is certified in Credit Counseling.

Community involvement is a big part of Daniel’s life. Through Day Air, he has participated in events including Mad City Money with local schools and Holiday at Home. He is also a former City of Kettering employee, a graduate of the Kettering Leadership Academy Class of 2023, and currently serves on the City of Kettering Program Advisory Board.

When he’s not working or giving back to the community, you’ll likely find Daniel playing sand volleyball, hiking, kayaking or spending time with his kids, Eli and Rayna.

Daniel is especially excited to dance in support of the Kettering Police Foundation. Working in the financial industry has given him an even greater appreciation for the Kettering Police Department and everything its officers do to serve and protect the community.

🚧 A New Chapter for Day Air in Beavercreek! 🚧

We officially broke ground on our new Beavercreek Financial Center at 1231 N. Fairfield Road, and we couldn’t be more excited to bring this next chapter to life!

The new financial center will replace our current Beavercreek location with a modern, convenient space designed to enhance accessibility, technology, and the overall member experience, while continuing to provide the trusted, relationship-focused service our members have relied on for more than 80 years.

This groundbreaking represents another investment in the Beavercreek community, and we’re excited to continue growing alongside the members and neighbors we’re proud to serve. 💙💚

A special thank you to Beavercreek Chamber of Commerce, State Representative Brian Lampton, Mayor Don Adams, CESO, Dryden Builders Inc., Structure First, and everyone who joined us to celebrate this exciting milestone!

Congratulations to Bill Burke, CEO of Day Air Credit Union, on being named to the Dayton Business Journal's Power 100, recognizing leaders who help shape and strengthen the Dayton region.

Bill has dedicated more than four decades to the credit union industry and has led Day Air since 1998. During that time, Day Air has grown significantly while remaining focused on what matters most: serving members and strengthening the Miami Valley.

Beyond Day Air, Bill has been a passionate advocate for the credit union movement, including serving as Chair of the Ohio Credit Union League Board of Directors and championing the People Helping People philosophy throughout his career.

That same commitment can be seen across our community through Day Air’s support of financial education, local organizations, charitable giving, and volunteerism.
