This is NOT a drill, it is every day world life problems that can happen with OUR own homeowners insurance experiences that do NOT get shared enough!

I would like to share what I witnessed this week 🙋🏼‍♀️ Especially with the financial displacement it can cause most families trying to survive in today’s economy 🏠

Most insurance carriers offer a type of Mechanical Breakdown coverage endorsement 🛠️ to add on as an option to a homeowners insurance policy that covers mechanical and electrical failures (not wear/tear) of permanent appliances up to a certain policy amount ($100k). This endorsement usually costs around $65 a year to have (in addition to your homeowners policy) and is typically subject to a $500 deductible vs the all peril/standard deductible on your homeowners policy.

Witness/Example - AC Unit breaks down due to a cascade electrical failure like when the pump blows👉🏻 which then blows the control board 👉🏻 that blows the electrical circuits completely out of the board (copper wiring circled in red).

Solutions/Options to Fix - Completely new HVAC unit (around $10k) OR AC Pump $1k, AC Control Board $1k, Labor/Wiring $1k for a unit that is no longer manufactured (so you can’t just get the parts off the shelf).

- Removing the endorsement (last month) to save on ever rising insurance costs 😱

Relief of knowing you’re covered for just a $500 deductible 🟰 P R I C E L E S S
